Yellowstone National Park

What is Yellowstone National Park?

Yellowstone National Park is a national park located in the U.S. states of Wyoming, Montana and Idaho. It was established by the U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Ulysses S. Grant on March 1, 1872.[4][5] Yellowstone was the first National Park in the U.S. and is also widely held to be the first national park in the world.[6] The park is known for its wildlife and its many geothermal features, especially Old Faithful Geyser, one of its most popular features.[7] It has many types of ecosystems, but the sub-alpine forest is the most abundant. It is part of the South Central Rockies forests eco-region. (As per Wikipidea)

Is Yellowstone National Park is Super Volcano?

Yes, last time the Yellowstone super-volcano erupted was 640,000+ years ago.
Due to Yellowstone eruption the whole area collapsed upon itself, creating a sunken giant crater more than 1,500 square miles in area. The magma-tic heat powering that eruption (dating back 2.1 million years) still powers the park’s famous geysers, hot springs, mud pots etc.

What Happen if Super Volcano erupt in Yellowstone National Park area?

Possibility of eruption at yellow stone is very rare but If the super-volcano in Yellowstone National Park erupted, then the falling ash and debris would probably blanket most of North America. Due to eruption, most of North America would first be on fire, and all area will be covered in a thick layer of hot and toxic dust and ash. Breathing this hot ash would burn the lungs of all life (scientist belief last time when it happens it impacted lots of animal 1000 of mile away), thus immediately suffocating most life in North America. Even after most of the dust and ash has cooled, they will still be toxic to all life for centuries. Ultimately, the planet would have entered a new ice age.
